TRIP TO MARKET
Last week, our design team took a trip to the furniture market in Las Vegas. Normally, “what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas”, but we’ve decided to scratch that and share with you what we learned, found, and took away from Las Vegas Market. Our Senior Designer, Tonya, is giving away some goodies we found at the market and has even made it possible for you to shop all our finds!
What is market?
The Las Vegas Market is a collection of furniture, decor, and home goods manufacturers. They get together twice a year at the Las Vegas Market Center and set up showrooms to attract designers and retailers in hopes that we will sell or carry their goods. There are several markets all over the country and they usually alternate months. So, when you hear us say that we spent a few days at market...know that we are doing it for you! These markets are usually restricted to designers and retailers, which allows us to do our job well and deliver successful and thoughtful design for our clients.
WHY DO YOU GO TO market?
Our main reason for heading to market is to make sure we are getting the very best for our clients. We inspect details, sit on, and touch every item to make sure it is something we would recommend to our clients. We only want the very best for the very best: you! We spend several days walking around three buildings full of showrooms trying to find the best manufacturers and vendors, new trends, and unique items that we can incorporate into our designs. Staying up to date on new market offerings and remaining knowledgeable about our manufacturers and their lines allows us to offer the best of the best to you. We love getting to touch the fabrics, feel the chair cushions, and see the metal finishes on the light fixtures. In turn, you know that we have literally scoured thousands of items and have found the very best pieces. (And when we say we test out everything, we mean everything!)
